On Jan. 12 we had the pleasure of presenting our interviews to the class and special invited guests. It was a great evening of stories and song (and drink, of course).

I recently found this broadcast about the former President Clinton and Hilary in 1995 in Northern Ireland....and potential future involvement with Belfast, Derry/Londonderry, and Northern Ireland.

Special guests abound!
The Gonzaga-in-Derry program has played host to a number of special guests from the local community over the last few days.
Charlie McMenamin and James Greer, former combatants from each side of the sectarian divide in Northern Ireland, paid a visit to the program to tell their stories and share their experiences of peacebuilding and reconciliation with students.
Meanwhile, local photojournalist Sinead Crumlish brought her camera expertise to the classroom, hosting a photo workshop for the students and sharing her stories as a young person growing up in both Northern Ireland and the Republic.
All special guests have been treated to traditional Irish luncheons, where they have tucked in to a variety of meat and potato dishes with students and faculty in a most convivial setting.

Balmy weather and hot coffee
The Gonzaga-in-Derry 2013 program is off to a rousing start, with students and teachers alike enjoying the unseasonably warm weather, local hospitality and conviviality, and freshly-brewed coffee.
The student and teacher digs, a four-star lodging known as the Tower Hotel, has been laying on hearty breakfasts featuring the likes of thick rashers of bacon, porridge with a nip of whiskey, and all types of eggs and sausages. The coffee and tea has been plentiful.
The weather, hovering around the mid-50s, has locals and Zags alike exclaiming in pleasure as they cross the city walls and stream in and out of Poundland, carry-bags in hand.
